Why I Built Soldano Realty

I have been selling real estate since 2010. In that time I worked for five brokerages: large and small, franchise and independent, international and local. I learned something from every one of them. How to sell, how to price, how to market, how to negotiate. I am grateful for all of it.

But somewhere along the way, the human element went missing. The big firms needed corporate approval for everything, which limited my freedom to simply do right by my clients. The franchises seemed most interested in collecting their monthly fees. Real estate stopped being about the people we work for and started being about the corporate image and the numbers. Clients became numbers too.

Selling a home is rarely just a transaction. People selling real estate are figuring out what comes next in their lives, and they need expertise and guidance while still getting the most for their home. That takes trust, honesty, integrity, and empathy: an agent who knows the block, loves the work, and treats you the way they would want to be treated. That level of attention is exactly what gets lost at scale. Quality here matters more than quantity.

So in 2023 I came home to Bay Ridge and signed a lease on one of the happiest blocks in the neighborhood. I put my name on the door, because a name is a person, and my reputation rides on every deal. I built the office to be a place to work, but also a place for clients and neighbors to come in, have a cup of coffee, and have a conversation. I joined the Merchants of Third Avenue because I want to see this neighborhood keep thriving.

In my career I have closed more than 200 sales and rental transactions across nearly every borough, including the 146 home sales published on my track record page, with over $100 million in sales on my own. Every one of those closings taught me the same lesson: do the work, tell the truth, and the rest follows. I built Soldano Realty to be the opposite of the corporatization of real estate: a place where experienced agents who love this work give every client the specialized attention a big firm simply cannot.
